Navigating Difficult Conversations Workshop

Braver Angels is leading the nation’s largest cross-partisan, volunteer-led movement to bridge the partisan divide. As we head into the election, they are bringing together “We the People” to find a hopeful alternative to toxic politics. The American Hope campaign is equipping Americans across the political spectrum to work together and demand the same of politicians from both parties.

The Peace Committee is sponsoring a free BA workshop in the meeting house - Navigating Difficult Conversations (Handling the challenge among family, friends,  neighbors, and colleagues) on August 4th. This information will be shared with other Quaker meetings in the area and other churches near West Hills Friends. All are welcome to attend. Follow this link to the registration page.

This one-hour session serves as both an introduction to Braver Angels, as well as provides a “mini-experience” of what happens in one of our longer experiences. During the session, the audience is presented with the problem of polarization and learns how Braver Angels workshops are structured to address this problem. They then get to practice an essential skill in difficult conversation.

After the workshop we will discuss doing additional workshops or events.
