The Story Committee meets every two months, on a Tuesday afternoon. At our gatherings, we decide on the query for our next publication. We make editorial decisions about the current chapter and review our expenses.

We also gather the weekend before our journal is mailed, to fold the pages and address the envelopes.

Sally Gillette is the clerk of our Story Committee.

The Story Committee reports to the business meeting.

The Story Committee oversees the publication of our journal, "Minding the Light." In each "Chapter," contributors respond to a specific query. We published our first Chapter in the summer of 2011, with responses to the query, "When did you first recognize the Light?".

Jesus said, "The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field..." We often think our stories are too small to matter. Actually, few things are more powerful than hearing someone describe an encounter with God. Each time we publish Minding the Light, we give people a chance to tell their stories.

"You are the light of the world." The logo for Minding the Light is meant to suggest BOTH a seed and a candle's flame. Please take a look at Minding the Light. We'd love to hear your response to our most recent stories.

Even better, please consider writing your response to the current Query. Anyone who attends WHF is invited to participate. You're also welcome to participate in the work of our Story Committee. We'd love your help in preparing the journal for mailing. If you are interested in being part of our editorial work, please let us know!
