KD wrote this song in early 2012. She sang it for the first time in meeting on June 3, 2012.

Pharisee

A Pharisee tested Jesus
In the marketplace
"What is the greatest commandment, Rabbi?"
A challenge was on his face.

The Torah and all the scrolls!
The temple and all of the priests!
Jesus weighed these in his hands
And said, "It all comes down to this...

It all comes down to love
It all comes down to love
You know, the law and all the prophets hang
On nothing less than love.
It all comes down to love
It all comes down to love
You know, the law and all the prophets hang
On nothing less than love.

The first and Great Commandment:
Thou shalt love the Lord
With all thy heart and soul and mind
Love the Lord they God!
The second is like unto it:
Love thy neighbor, too.
Love thy neighbor as thyself
Let love guide whatever you do.

Because it's not what you eat
And it's not what you wear
And it's not who you save
Or how you break your bread
Or how you cut your hair!
And it's not how you fast
And it's not how you pray
And it's not what you have
And it's not what you give away

It all comes down to love, to love
It all comes down to love
You know, the law and all the prophets hang
On nothing less than love.
It all comes down to love
It all comes down to love
You know, the law and all the prophets hang
On nothing less than love.
