WHF Home

If you'd like to volunteer, please add your name to the signup sheet in the hallway. We ask people to volunteer for one month at a time. Durable decorations (like pumpkins or quilts) may remain at the front of the worship area for the entire month. You can also volunteer with others, dividing the weeks between you.

Flowers for the Worship Area

Although we Quakers tend to deemphasize the importance of our building, there's no doubt that we are affected by the space around us. A cold or cluttered building can be an impediment to the work of worship.

To convey a sense of welcome in our worship area, we invite Friends to bring something of visual interest for the front of our space. Depending on the season, people bring flowers, pumpkins or evergreen branches. Sometimes, people bring artwork and an easel.
