Medical Teams tend to travel in April of each year. Participants begin the work of gathering supplies and arranging travel in the fall.

WHF Medical Teams

The West Hills Friends Medical Team takes a yearly trip to provide health services in places where adequate medical care is lacking.

Past trips include Haiti, Peru, Malawi, India, and Bolivia. The teams involve healthcare workers and other volunteers from both WHF and the wider community. Participants provide a medical visit with a provider, mental health services, health education, labs, glasses, oral health, and pharmacy over a one week clinic serving between 600-1000 patients per trip.

For more information regarding joining a team, or contributing medical or dental supplies contact the team leader, Dr. Mari Kay Evans-Smith at marikay@wa-net.com

If you wish to make a tax deductible monetary donation to the team, please mail a check to "West Hills Friends" and indicate it is for the medical team. Contact the church office if you'd like to discuss online giving.

Limited scholarships are available. If you'd like to apply for a scholarship, please complete this form.
